About Our Program

MISSION
Our purpose is to provide your child with a nurturing, safe and loving Christian environment where concepts are enhanced, independence encouraged, and individuality respected. Our goal, to teach children to love learning.

STAFF
Our caring staff receive 20 hours of in-service training per year and all staff are CPR and 1st aide certified. We are members of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the Southern Early childhood Association, the TN Association for the Education of Young Children and the Chattanooga Area Association for the Education of Young Children.

CHILDREN
Our program is for children ages 6 weeks through 5 years of age. We are open from 9:30am until 2pm on Tuesdays/ Thursday or you may choose our Monday/Wednesday program.. We are open through the summer and except School-age siblings if room allows. The children move to the next room when they are ready and room is available. Infants will stay in their room all day. We know that babies have their own schedules and we will meet those needs according to the parents request. When your child is 12 months and walking well they will be moved up to the 1's room. Our 1's have a scheduled lunch and nap time. These children will have gym time but will not be using the playground. The 2's room will have scheduled lunch and some arts and crafts. This room will also be working to potty train when child and parents are ready. The preschool room is for children three years old and potty trained, through 5 years of age. The children will be in two different group of either 3's, or 4's and 5's. Each group will rotate between the room, playground and gym. We will be working from the HighReach curriculum from September thru May and the summer months will focus more on arts and crafts.

CURRICULUM
We at Trinity use the HighReach curriculum. The HighReach curriculum is a unique one in that it enriches the child’s learning experiences through a combination of activities, games, and songs. If you would like to learn more about HighReach, their informative web site is ww.highreach.com

PARENT AND TEACHER PARTNERSHIP
We host parent/teacher conferences in October and April for all our pre-school children after their assessments. We send home monthly newsletters, daily potty grams for infants and toddlers and post a “What We Did Today” in the pre-school room. We hope to have lots of parent volunteers in order to keep our tuition low. We have one mandatory parent meeting in August and form a volunteer Parent Advisory Committee to assist with one fund-raiser and class pictures. We host parent training in the winter and offer meetings at your request.

ENROLLMENT
In order to enroll you must tour our facility with the Director. An enrollment form must be completed and $35 registration fee paid. We offer a M/W program along with a Tuesday/ Thursday program. The tuition is $110 per month per child. Active members of Trinity Lutheran Church will have first option to enroll their children and receive a 10% discount on tuition. Please call (423) 648-7545 for more information.
