Ordained in 1978, Pastor Gary Schimmer began his ministry at Trinity Lutheran Church in July, 2007 after serving congregations in Georgia, Alabama, and Missouri.
He is a graduate of the University of Missouri (Columbia, MO), the Divinity School of Vanderbilt  University (Nashville, TN), and has done graduate study in Christian spirituality at Spring Hill College (Mobile, AL).
A native of St. Louis, MO, Pastor Schimmer is an avid Cardinal’s fan.  His hobbies include fishing, watching sports, classic guitar, the study of church architecture, and keeping up with the best of new liturgy and church music.  He loves to be with his family especially with his two grandchildren. 
He is married to Priscilla Roberts of Elberton, GA and they have two grown children.

Pastor Schimmer’s favorite Bible verse comes from Galatians 5:1, For freedom Christ has set us free.

Pam is a graduate of Tennessee Tech University and has lived in many different states since graduation.  She is married to Marty Smith, the manager of JC Penney at Hamilton Place and they have two daughters, both graduates of American University in Washington, DC.  Pam and Marty are both very happy to be back in Tennessee.
